Amber Buck is a west coast born and raised artist who has dreamed in vivid colors since she was a small girl. At four years of age she decided unapologetically that she wanted to become an artist and began her work in earnest. During a brief move to Nevada and back at five years old she discovered her fascination with the myriad landscapes of the earth- the barren desert, the purple storm clouds, the blue mountains, the green rivers, the yellow dunes, mighty white snow capped peaks, verdant green fields, the pink sunrises, the orange sunsets and all the flora and fauna that accompany the bountiful landscapes of sacred creation.
In 2014 she was selected as one of twenty one artists of over twenty thousand applicants to represent the West Coast in West vs. Midwest battle of the artists for Artist Portfolio Magazine. It was a humbling and validating victory for her many years of often invisible hard work.
She showed her work at Alberta Street Gallery in north Portland for many years, among other venues and small backwoods galleries in both Oregon and Washington states.
Her work can be found in West coast homes from Anchorage, Alaska, to Northern California, east to Albuquerque, NM and all the way to Spain, Portugal, Italy and the UK. Each work is hand made without any use of Ai and will always be so.
She currently resides in her favorite state in PNW, moody and beautiful Washington .
