Pamela Heward is a pastel artist who discovered the medium in an art class in 2010. She fell in love with the brilliant pre-mixed hues and their immediacy - your fingers grasp the dry pigment, and it is ready to use, no drying time or odor! Pastels are great to use creating Plein Air scenes outdoors as well as indoors in the studio.

 

Pam is a member of NW Pastel Society, Plein Air Washington and Harbor Art Guild.  She has exhibited her art in First Friday Art events in Bellingham and Aberdeen, and has been represented by Aldergrove Art Gallery in Aberdeen and by Whisperwood Gallery in Montesano. Pam’s Studio is located in her Aberdeen Washington home and is participating in the 2026 Grays Harbor Open Studios Tour.
