I moved to the Olympic Penninsula three years ago for a number of reasons the best of which is the natural beauty. I love the water, forests, mountains, wildlife, even the weather. I’m constantly reminded here of the ‘woven world’ that is the universe and our small planet. I am humbled and awestruck at once.
I create my work in copper and pewter repousee, enameled copper or oil paint, plus some beading. Most of my inspiration comes from the natural world. I especially love birds. Who wouldn’t love to fly? I don’t know why birds move me so, but they do whether it is a stunning heron or a humble wren. But I do other subjects as well.
I have shown work locally at the Aberdeen Art Center, the Healing Gallery at the Grays Harbor Hospital at Aberdeen, and at the Fall Gala at Gray’s Harbor College.
I hope you find some pleasure in my work.
